Back in the Project Galileo days, we noticed this guy kept posting amazing screen captures of mines on Twitter. His name is Matt Dalton and he works for SRK Consulting in the UK. A few months later, we managed to convince Matt to tell us more about these projects.
“The range of services SRK offers requires us to bring together numerous information streams from our design teams and communicate these in a clear and concise way to our Clients and project stakeholders. AutoDesk Infraworks enhances SRK’s ability to present these ideas and concept quickly and efficiently. It allows us to integrate multiple design concepts and work streams into a single model, greatly enhancing our ability to communicate complex ideas in an easy to interpret visual format to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.” –Matt Dalton
In the past few months, I’ve posted a lot about InfraWorks using these four ideas:
1. Winning Work
2. Getting to 30% (Or Preliminary Design)
3. Gaining Agency Approval
4. Gaining Public Support
Those four points apply to any industry and any type of project. The possibilities are endless, and I am looking forward to seeing more customers using these tools in action. What if you could show the public what a wastewater treatment plant looked like in context? An oil lease? A new outlet mall?
